Was it worth it?
Was it worth all the
bloodshed and tears?
What came out of it?
Nothing really, just the
deaths of two criminals.
The violence and pain these
people suffered then.
Now they have to relive it.
Everything. The killings, trial
and hangings. Was it really
worth all the trouble?
For a book? That is why
these people had to relive
an all too terrifying nightmare.
What really became of it?
A book? A movie? They
were asked to recall
the events of a murder
investigation for that?
Was it worth trying?
Trying to help two killers
escape the death penalty?
Was it worth fighting?
The townspeople wanted them dead.
They didn't have a hope of a new sentence.
Was it worth putting people through
hell once more? They had the Clutters die
once. Now its happened again.
Was it worth the time and effort?
Peoples minds change slowly and
sometimes not at all. They were dead.
Was it worth the media and press
attention? Did the people deserve what
they went through for In Cold Blood?
Was it worth the problems?
The problems of unraveling the
human mind. All for a book?
Was any of it worth it?
Were they worth the trouble?
Were two lives worth nothing?
